Emma Caywood, MLIS

Emma Caywood is a storyteller, librarian, playwright, digital storyteller and story coach. She was formerly the director of the American Accolades Screenwriting Competition and a literary manager for screenwriters at Torque Entertainment. She has studied storytelling with Rives Collins, Northwestern University, and Beth Horner, Dominican University. In addition to directing the JTE Storytellers at Northwestern, Emma has taught storytelling to integrated marketing communications students at Northwestern’s Medill School. Practicing her craft, she has told stories to children, women’s groups and community organizations, as well as at churches, synagogues, libraries and a chocolate shop. She has a bachelor’s degree in theater and a certificate in creative writing for the media from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University.
