Now, more than ever, it is important to use all of your company’s or organizations’s knowledge to manage relationships with stakeholders. Although business used to emphasize only focusing on the customer, it is now clear that there are many stakeholders of great importance. This is a result of the era of social media, transparency and information. The case of Barack Obama and the “stakeholder society” emphasizes this point. It is important to evaluate the negative, neutral and positive uses of stakeholder language. The creation of stakeholder maps is very useful to any organization.
